KEIGHLEY people are being warned to be on their guard against a scam involving fake Netflix emails.

Action Fraud says it has received more than 2,000 reports of the scam nationwide.

The fake email features links to genuine-looking websites that are designed to steal people's Netflix passwords and personal information, including financial details.

It also claims that the email recipient’s account is ‘on hold’ due to payment issues.

An Action Fraud spokesman said: "Your bank, or any other organisation, won’t ask you to share personal information over email or text. If you need to check that it’s a genuine message, call them directly.
