AN Oakworth charity worker has raised £1,000 for Manorlands with the support of two businesses.
Jeanette House, of Stitch4CharityWY, handcrafted face masks for her son Matt when he was able to reopen his barbers – Matts Headroom, in Oakworth – following lockdown.
Now sales of the masks, which are also available from Silverland with Passion in Haworth, are boosting the coffers of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
“Matt didn’t want to add to landfill with disposable gowns and masks so I agreed to design and make them,” said Jeanette. The cotton, four-layered washable masks sell for £4.50.
They can also be ordered on Facebook – Stitch4CharityWY – by emailing stitch4charity@mail.com or calling 01535 602484.
