I MOVED here because I found somewhere I could live surrounded by fields and countryside.
Most of these areas seem to have gone and what remains is under threat – my neighbours and friends are starting to move away mainly because of this, as well as the general degeneration of shops and lawlessness of this town.
If building over green belt is destroying the character of Haworth, the destruction of the few remaining greenfield sites in Keighley is a disaster. It will turn Keighley into one huge sink estate.
Use brownfield, regenerate derelict buildings, knock down and rebuild, but don't save money by building on greenfield sites and woodland. Towns need lungs, and people need greenery.
