POLICE are investigating a suspected arson after fire crews in Keighley put out a car fire last night.
One appliance from Keighley Fire Station was called to the scene of Grey Volvo that was on fire at Bentley Court, Parkwood Rise, Keighley, at 10.54pm on Monday.
Keighley Fire Station crew commander Ned Andrews said: "It is a suspected deliberate ignition as there was more than one igniition point on the vehicle. It appears a flammable substance was poured in the engine compartment, and on the rear and underneath the vehicle. Fortunately, we managed to catch it before the vehicle was badly damaged."
West Yorkshire Police confirmed they are investigating the incident as arson and enquiries are ongoing.
