A HOUSING developer will be offering ‘Help to Buy’ options on some of its Apperley Bridge properties.
The Government initiative, designed to assist first-time buyers in particular, is continuing in slightly amended form over the next few years. Applications for the 2021-2023 version of the scheme will open on December 16.
Regional Sales Manager for Miller Homes Yorkshire, Sarah Whinfrey, said: “Help to Buy has been incredibly popular in Yorkshire and we have helped almost 900 buyers secure a brand new Miller home by using the scheme.”
Under the new rules the scheme offers up to 20 per cent of a home’s purchase price through an equity loan funded by the Government. The remaining 80 per cent is then made up through a five per cent deposit contribution and a mortgage from a bank or building society.
