POLICE have staged late-night patrols in the Worth Valley to target nuisance off-road vehicles.
Officers from the West Yorkshire Police Operation Steerside team targeted land above Oxenhope and Haworth, which vehicles are prohibited from using.
Operation Steerside was set-up in 2016 to crack down on law-flouting motorists.
It initially focused on enforcement against the so-called ‘fatal four’ – speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, drink and drug driving and using a mobile phone at the wheel – but its area of work has expanded.
Last year, the campaign in the Bradford district saw its 1,000th vehicle seized.
