AS a mark of respect GB Railfreight today headed their long distance freight train over the Settle-Carlisle line with Class 66 locomotive, Captain Sir Tom Moore this afternoon following news of his death yesterday.
The trainload of china clay travels the route regularly from Antwerp, in Belgium, to Irvine, in Scotland - via the Channel Tunnel.
The locomotive was captured by the Friends of Settle Carlisle Line webcam mounted on Kirkby Stephen Station's main up-line building.
Mark Rand, vice president of the FOSCL said he congratulated GB Railfreight for their respectful sense of occasion.
