KEIGHLEY has been named one of the UK’s property hotspots.
The town is joint fourth in a table of locations which have seen asking prices rise most.
Average prices in Keighley have soared by 11 per cent – from £175,766 in February, 2020, to £195,175 last month.
The figures were compiled by property search giant, Rightmove.
Patrick McCutcheon – head of residential at Dacre, Son & Hartley estate agents, which has an office in Keighley town centre – says: “The metric of asking prices is a strong indicator of places that are proving popular with home-movers, because the more desirable a location becomes, the more prices go up.
“Keighley has everything going for it – with fantastic local amenities, rail links, good schools and superb countryside on its doorstep, as well as attractions including Haworth and its famous moors, Cliffe Castle and the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.”
The table was topped by Paisley, in Scotland, where average prices are up by 15 per cent.
