TWO town councillors are seeking seats in Keighley Central ward on Bradford Council.
Mohammed Nazam and Clare Abberton have both been chosen by the Conservatives to contest the two seats up for grabs.
Cllr Nazam, known as Naz, has lived in Keighley all his life.
He has been a Keighley town councillor for nearly 14 years, representing the Town ward.
Cllr Nazam has worked with former Keighley MP Kris Hopkins – and more recently with the current MP, Robbie Moore.
He was town mayor in 2017-18.
Cllr Abberton has been a town councillor since 2019 and represents the Utley and Spring Gardens ward. She serves on several committees.
Much of her career has been spent working within the NHS as a serious incident investigator.
The Bradford Council elections take place on May 6.
A full list of candidates for each Keighley-district ward will be published – and appear at keighleynews.co.uk – once the deadline for nominations has passed.
