KEIGHLEY Healthy Living has once again been spreading cheer at retirement housing schemes in the district.

It arranged for singer Emma James to perform Easter concerts outside Farish House in Keighley and Staincliffe Court Retirement Living, Silsden.

Both are Incommunities sites.

“Emma brightened the day for residents – lifting their spirits and spreading joy,” says Julia Charlton, of Keighley Healthy Living.

“Lots of the residents came to the windows and joined in with both the singing and dancing!”

A similar concert, also featuring Emma, was staged outside Farish House in December.

She performed for over an hour, spreading festive cheer.

The event also saw Christmas cards, written by pupils from years three and four at Worth Valley Primary School, handed over to the residents.

Cards were donated by UK Greetings and handwritten by the children.
