A STAYING Steady group is being launched at Silsden.
Keighley-based Positive Strength CIC is behind the initiative. Funding has been received from Ageing Well.
Staying Steady is an evidence-based exercise programme aimed at those at risk of falls, or who are feeling “de-conditioned” due to lockdown. Organisers say there are no age barriers, although generally most people who take part are over 60 or have a long-term condition.
Face-to-face sessions will begin once Covid restrictions allow, but meantime the programme will start online on Friday, April 23, at 1.45pm – via the Positive Strength Facebook page.
A small number of tablet computers is available on loan to people who need them to take part. There are also free DVDs of the exercises.
To sign-up for the sessions or to request a tablet or DVD, email admin@positivestrength.co.uk or call 07719 673651.
