MAY I invite anyone with an opinion, idea or accurate, up-to-date information to a public meeting in the main hall of our civic centre on June 23 from 7pm to 8.30pm to discuss the grassed area on North Street (Covid regulations will be in place).

We invite all the local voluntary bodies which have been campaigning to keep it green, including the petition organisers and the Rotary Club but we hope that statutory bodies with an interest and our town council and Bradford councillors will attend as well.

And many thanks to Jan Smithies for her letter pointing out that the NHS might get funding from the TIP to build a, now ubiquitous, health and wellness hub – a representative from the NHS would be most welcome. Anyone would think that this site was the only plot of land available to build on in Keighley and that there weren't any empty buildings to upgrade, 'green' and repurpose either.

We look forward to meeting you on the night to shape a co-ordinated campaign, but please contact us before that if you want to share this platform or have a view but are unable to attend because of 'shielding' responsibilities. You can ring me on 07576 545727 or email
