PUPILS at Lees Primary School pulled out all the stops as part of the Captain Tom 100 Challenge.

Year Two children skipped, caught and threw a ball, hula hooped or ran around the playground 100 times as part of the national initiative – held to mark what would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday. The school also set-up a Just Giving page, which raised over £1,400, and the front of the building was decorated (above left, with pupils in front of it).

Students at Beckfoot Oakbank also did their bit. They walked or ran (above right) 101 laps of the school Astro turf. They have so far collected around £300 through sponsorship.
