AFTER serving the people of Keighley West for the last nine years my term of office has now ended, having lost my seat at the election.

I am writing to convey my thanks to readers in Keighley West ward who came out to vote for me.

I should also like to thank my agent, Cllr Paul Godwin, for his steadfast support throughout and my campaign team – thank you.

Over the last nine years I have made many friends and I am eternally grateful for the friendship you have shown me, especially during the last week.

I’m proud to live in Keighley. Keighley is and will remain my home. I was brought-up in Keighley, my family and friends live here and it has been an honour and immense privilege to serve. Thank you.
