A CROSS Hills care home organised a special treat for three residents and their families.
Townend Close invited family members of a trio of dads at the Anchor complex to enjoy an outdoor celebration, to mark Father’s Day.
Ambrose Bower, 93, Bryan Harford, 91, and Kenneth Hill, 82, enjoyed a meal and quality time with their loved ones. Each family had its own gazebo.
Kenneth’s daughter, Susan Booth, said: “I can’t say enough how lovely it was. Having lunch with my dad on Father’s Day was perfect, especially after such a long time of not being able to get together as a family due to Covid restrictions.”
Sharon Mackie, Townend Close manager, said: “Father’s Day is special as we get to celebrate all the amazing dads living with us. It’s wonderful that our residents and relatives are being reunited as restrictions ease.”
