KEIGHLEY Bus Museum is opening to the public again this weekend.

Following a successful open day earlier this month, the venue – at Riverside, off Dalton Lane – will welcome back visitors on Sunday (August 1) for a Yorkshire Day celebration.

The event will focus on West Yorkshire passenger transport companies.

Museum trust director Mick Berry said: “With the easing of Covid restrictions there will be a small arrangement of sales stands and a flat-fare bus service – with limited seating – will operate between Keighley Bus Station and the museum.

“However, to ease the possibility of overcrowding, there will be no free bus services at this time. Once again we ask visitors to wear face masks whilst on the bus and inside the building.”

Museum trustees had decided before the pandemic to open the venue to the public on the first Sunday of every month, but lockdown scuppered the plans.

This month’s open day saw a steady stream of visitors.
