A MANORLANDS fundraising group has launched a sunflower photo competition in support of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
The venture follows on from a sunflower-growing contest launched earlier this year by the Wharfedale group, which raised over £2,000.
People are now being invited to submit photographs of sunflowers, with a host of prizes – from meal-for-two vouchers to farm shop gift boxes – up for grabs.
Entry to the competition is a suggested £5 donation.
Molly Ralphson, Manorlands community fundraiser, said: “The sunflower-growing competition has been a huge success and we hope now that budding photographers will spread a little more sunshine by submitting their bold and beautiful images to raise money for a good cause.
“Every pound raised makes a real difference and will help our teams continue to go above and beyond, filling last days with love and helping to give families a better goodbye.
“We are so grateful.”
All images should be submitted via email to molly.ralphson@sueryder.org, by Wednesday, September 1.
