DON’T forget to return your library books!

That’s the message from Bradford Libraries, following the reintroduction last month of fees for overdue books. Charges had been suspended during the pandemic.

“Now that library buildings are open again all books and other borrowed materials need to be returned on time so that many more people can have a chance to enjoy them,” said a spokesperson.

“Customers are urged to hunt down their items and bring them back to any of Bradford’s libraries, as items returned late will now incur overdue charges.

“People will get a reminder before their books are due and then two further reminders after the due date. Following the second reminder, if books are not returned or renewed, customers will be charged for the value of the items outstanding.”

Books can be returned to any district library or may be renewed at bradford.gov.uk/libraries or by calling the automated service on 01274 430094.
