OSSETT'S players were able to celebrate clinching promotion to the Bradford League Premier Division with a comfortable six-wicket win over Keighley last Saturday.

Marcus Walmsley took 6-24 as they bowled out Keighley for 66 before knocking off the runs with four wickets down.

It means they now need seven points from their last two games to be crowned champions.

But that heavy defeat spelled bad news for Keighley, as it leaves them just four points clear of the Division One relegation zone.

They have 158 points, while second-last Hartshead Moor and rock-bottom Lightcliffe both sit on 154.

With two games left, Keighley will be desperate for a win against Bradford District rivals East Bierley this weekend.

Keighley's seconds are already down, with a five-wicket defeat to Cleckheaton ensuring they cannot catch the teams above them.

Crossflatts are having a much better time of things than either Keighley side, and they are just four points off leaders Great Preston in Division Three.

Great Preston suffered a surprise 30-run defeat against Heckmondwike and Carlinghow at the weekend, while Crossflatts had a comfortable six-wicket victory over Altofts.

Flatts visit improving Liversedge this weekend, before facing a titanic battle against Great Preston on the final day.
