BUSINESSES across the district which have pledged to ‘make a difference’ are to be celebrated at an event next month.
West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is once again staging its Raising the Bar (Businesses Acting Responsibly) initiative.
The event – to be held in Leeds on November 10 – celebrates companies that have committed to making ethical, environmental and social changes.
In April the chamber launched a Make a Pledge to Make a Difference campaign, encouraging businesses from across the region to pledge their social responsibility targets.
Chamber chief executive Sandy Needham said: “Despite the enormous challenges of Covid, we saw many members working hard to support their communities and staff and understanding more about how their working practices could protect the environment.”
