KEIGHLEY College is appealing for past students to return – as guest speakers.
The Bradford Road campus is looking for alumni from a variety of industries, to help inspire current learners as they plot their future careers.
Speakers would cover topics such as their own academic journey and career path, job advice and experiences within their industry.
The search has been launched as the Luminate Education Group, of which Keighley College is a part, approaches a milestone half-a-million students since its formation in 2009.
The group also includes Leeds City College, Leeds Sixth Form College, Harrogate College, University Centre Leeds, Leeds Conservatoire and White Rose Academies Trust.
Gemma Simmons-Blench, the group’s deputy chief executive officer for curriculum and quality, said: “Keighley College is incredibly proud to be part of a group which champions education for people of all ages.
“We’re passionate about flying the flag for colleges, showing how students can still achieve outstanding successes and have the same exciting opportunities as those who attend sixth form.
“As we approach our half-a-million milestone, we’re taking a look back on all the inspirational people who’ve attended Keighley College over the years.
“We’re interested in hearing from past students who are willing to speak about their careers and industries. Our students will hugely benefit from having ambitious role models who can motivate them to reach their goals.”
College alumni include Naveed Khan, a businessman who studied motor vehicles.
He now runs a successful vehicle body and repair business, EnKahnz, where he works on luxury cars and regularly welcomes students to his workshop.
Another former student, Sabir ‘Saby’ Hussain, recently celebrated 25 years in the media industry as an award-winning hip-hop entrepreneur and entertainment consultant.
He focuses on supporting people from deprived areas to achieve their music goals, and has previously worked as a promoter for Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent and Jay Sean.
Former students interested in attending as speakers are asked to email communicationsteam@luminate.ac.uk.
