A STAR of CBeebies will help switch on Keighley's Christmas lights.
Andy Day – a presenter on the popular BBC channel – will be among those performing the honours at Thursday's (November 25) ceremony, presented by Discover Keighley, on Church Green.
A packed programme of entertainment is lined-up for the event.
There will be activities in the Airedale Shopping Centre from 4.30pm. Andy will be 'meeting and greeting' visitors until 5.15pm, plus Elf & Safety and Ebor Gum will entertain.
A host of attractions will be on stage in Church Green from 5.30pm, including Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists The Soldiers of Swing – and Santa.
The lights switch-on will take place at 7pm and will be followed by a fireworks display.
There will be free parking all day in the shopping centre.
Centre manager, Steve Seymour, said: "It promises to be a great event.
"We're keeping our fingers crossed for good weather and we are hoping for a big family turnout, with Andy being a star of CBeebies and The Soldiers of Swing proving popular on Britain's Got Talent."
