MEREWYN Sayers and Sharon Jandu will head-up lobbying activity in this region for the Federation of Small Businesses.

Merewyn has been re-elected an area lead for the organisation, whilst Sharon ā€“ co-opted nine months ago ā€“ has been elected to the post for the first time.

They will work alongside other area leads from across the UK on behalf of the federation, which has over 4,000 members in West Yorkshire.

Merewyn, who runs Sayer Solutions, said: "Iā€™m delighted to have been re-appointed and will ensure the voice of small-business owners is heard. I look forward to working with members to make sure we stay at the centre of the local debate and the forefront of policy decision-making."

Sharon, who spearheads Yorkshire Asian Business Association, said: "Small businesses are at the heart of our local economy and over the coming year they will be crucial to our economic recovery from Covid."
