A POPULAR charity run and walk is returning this spring.

The Keighley 10k and 5k in aid of Manorlands is set to take place once again, on Mother's Day – March 27.

Since its inception in 2007, more than 10,000 people have taken part and over £450,000 has been raised for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Liv Moffat, community fundraiser at Manorlands, said: "Whether you’re an experienced runner or you’ve resolved to improve your fitness, this is the perfect opportunity to make your new year’s resolution a reality.

"The event is open to people of all ages and abilities. It’s a fantastic way to keep motivated, have fun and raise much-needed funds so that we can continue to provide the compassionate care we're so well known for and be there when it matters for families."

The 10k starts at Victoria Park and follows a circular route through the town, whilst the 5k sets off from Fell Lane Scout hut.

Early-bird registration costs £15 for adults and £8 for under-16s, before rising to £18 and £10 respectively. Teams of five representing an organisation or group can enter at an early-bird rate of £55.
