A CHARITY has distributed over 1,000 new hats and pairs of gloves to Keighley schoolchildren.
Green Crescent Aid UK has donated the items to pupils at Keighley St Andrew's, Victoria and Riddlesden St Mary's primary schools.
Amjid Ahmed, a volunteer with the charity, said: "We want children to be able to wrap-up warm when they walk to and from school.
"We're living in times of uncertainty and high inflation. Energy prices and the cost of living generally are increasing, which means more people will struggle. We've ensured that no child at the schools was left out, and each will be able to keep warm."
He pays tribute to those who support Green Crescent Aid UK.
"We thank the donors who back our charity – which is volunteer-led, with a 100 per cent donation policy – to reach out and help the local community as well as people abroad," he said.
