PEOPLE across the Keighley district are being invited to have their say on the future of the region's fire and rescue service.

A public survey has been launched to gauge views on the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service community risk management plan for 2022-25.

Nick Smith, assistant chief fire officer, said: "The document sets out how we plan to protect homes, families, communities, businesses and the countryside across our diverse region.

"We want to know which of our services are important to people and what the public feels should be our key priorities.

"We've responded to many challenges in recent years, including helping our community and partners throughout the pandemic and during major flooding and wildfires, and we want to ensure we continue to provide that risk protection in the best way possible.

"So that we can deliver the best and achieve our ambition of making West Yorkshire safer, we are constantly looking to improve our service through innovation and the use of new technology.

"We hope that people will take the opportunity to answer a few simple questions with our online survey, share their views and get their voices heard."

The survey, at westyorksfire.gov.uk, runs until February 13.
