A VILLAGE hall has been fitted with free ultrafast full-fibre broadband.

The installation at Long Lee was by brsk, which is providing free connection to schools and community centres its fibre passes.

Long Lee Village Hall treasurer Craig Pullen said the move would transform what the premises can offer.

He added: "It means people can easily stream music for parties or use their laptops here ā€“ and we can now potentially offer the hall to clients such as businesses for conferences and meetings, and projects offering training in digital services."

The hall's committee signed-up for the service after being made aware of the brsk offer by Keighley East district councillor Caroline Firth.

She said: "Iā€™m sure Long Lee Village Hall will save money as well as benefit from being able to offer digital-based activities. We have other community buildings in Keighley East on the list too waiting to be connected."
