NEW play equipment is being launched at East Riddlesden Hall during the school half-term holidays.

Young visitors will have the chance to try out a Trim Trail in the grounds of the 17th-century National Trust property.

The trail – installed behind the tea room – includes logs, a bridge and jigsaw wall.

A range of family events is being held at the Bradford Road site to coincide with the school break.

There will be free, daily blossom-themed craft activities in the hall's discovery room.

Children can create a blossom picture, and there will be mice to spot.

A tree trail has also been set-up.

And attractions for youngsters to enjoy in the discovery garden include a mud pie kitchen, den-building area and hobbit house.

"There are lots of ways for children to enjoy some natural play at East Riddlesden Hall," said a spokesperson.

"Also, on sunny days, deckchairs and games will be out in the gardens for visitors to enjoy. It is the perfect place to relax and soak-up the sunshine, whilst the young ones play."

The hall is open Saturdays to Wednesdays, from 10am.
