A SIXTH annual Solstice Saunter is being held to raise money for Manorlands.
People of all ages are invited to walk or run around a five-mile circular route at the Bolton Abbey estate on Tuesday, June 21 – the longest day.
Since the event – organised by Airedale Dodgers Running Club – was first held, about £120,000 has been coined-in for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
Sponsoring the saunter for a fifth consecutive year is JB Springs of Skipton, and the new headline sponsor is Silsden-based Ecology Building Society – which is working with organisers to make the event free of single-use plastic water bottles.
Everyone taking part in the saunter, which starts at 7.30pm, receives a medal and free all-day parking.
The event also has a virtual entry option, so people can run a five-mile route of their choice anywhere that day.
