KEIGHLEY'S new town mayor has spoken of his "honour" at being elected to the post.
Councillor Luke Maunsell was voted into the role at the town council's annual meeting.
Deputy mayor will be Cllr John Kirby.
"When I joined Keighley Town Council to serve the people of Keighley and those in my ward of Oakworth seven years ago I never imagined I'd have the honour of becoming mayor," said Cllr Maunsell. "I look forward to representing this town over the next 12 months.
"I want to thank each and every councillor for their support, including the former mayor Julie Adams and my new deputy mayor.
"Over the next year I'll be raising money for two Keighley charities – Dementia Friendly Keighley and It's Worth Talking About. I would ask for people's support in raising as much as possible for these two amazing causes, which are very close to my heart."
Cllr Kirby, who joined the town council in 2014 and has chaired the allotments and landscapes committee for six years, said he was delighted to be elected deputy mayor. "I will continue my interest in environmental projects to ensure the council contributes to improve the environment around Keighley," he added.
