PLANS have been approved to convert a former funeral director's building into holiday lets.
Hallcroft – next to listed Lees Methodist Church, in Haworth Road, Cross Roads – is vacant, but was most recently used as a funeral director's and before that a telephone exchange.
A planning application to convert the property into three self-contained residential units for holiday-let was submitted – by L Hayes – to Bradford Council earlier this year.
The application said the area was "understood to be one of the oldest inhabited parts of the Worth Valley – with examples of mill heritage and connections to the early co-operative movement."
It added: "Haworth village, Bronte heritage and the surrounding moorlands are key attractions and a significant draw for visitors and tourists."
