A MOTORIST who used a handheld mobile phone whilst driving – and drove without insurance and a licence – has been ordered to pay more than £900 by magistrates.
Aykut Filiz, 40, committed the offences in Keighley town centre – at the junction of North Street and Russell Street – on April 21.
He was fined £760 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £76 victim surcharge by Bradford & Keighley Magistrates Court.
Filiz – of High Street, Skipton – also had his driving record endorsed with eight points.
