A FORMAL robing ceremony has taken place for Keighley's recently-elected town mayor.
Councillor Luke Maunsell said it was "an amazing moment" to don the mayoral robes for the first time.
And he voiced thanks for the support he'd received during his opening month in office.
The supply teacher – who, at 26, was the youngest person ever to be installed as Keighley's mayor – said: "I can't thank enough my family, fellow councillors, officers and the public at large for their support in my first month.
"During that time I have attended just under 30 invites, on top of council and associated meetings, and it has been a pleasure to do so.
"I am now looking forward to the next period, particularly as I seek to raise money for my two amazing charities."
He has chosen to support Dementia Friendly Keighley and It's Worth Talking About during his year as mayor.
Cllr Maunsell, who joined Keighley Town Council seven years ago and represents Oakworth ward, says both causes are "very close to his heart".
Deputy mayor is Cllr John Kirby. He joined the town council in 2014 and has chaired the allotments and landscapes committee for the past six years.
