BOSSES at a Keighley pub have spoken of their delight after the premises were awarded a top hygiene rating.
The Livery Rooms has received five stars in Bradford Council’s Scores on the Doors programme, joining a number of outlets in the town with the maximum grading.
The scheme spotlights hygiene standards in pubs, restaurants, cafes and other food outlets across the district.
Inspectors judge premises on how hygienic and well-managed food preparation is and each business is benchmarked against the same criteria.
Sophie Turner – manager at The Livery Rooms, in North Street – said: "We are delighted we've gained the top rating and I’m sure our customers will welcome the news too.
"Our staff work hard to ensure the pub offers highest levels of hygiene at all times and we're pleased our efforts have been recognised."
