A KEIGHLEY company is giving its support to a village football team.

Clever Energy Heating and Renewables has signed a ground sponsorship deal with Oxenhope Recreation FC for the new season.

The package will see the team’s home renamed Clever Energy Recreation Ground.

Clever Energy managing director, Jon Broadbent, is a former player at the club.

He said: "Oxenhope Rec is close to my heart and has strong connections to the business, so we are delighted to sponsor the ground.

"We first got involved two years ago to help Rec through the pandemic and the relationship has worked brilliantly for both parties, so we thought we’d commit to the ground naming rights for this season."

The company has a long history of backing sport at all levels. It has sponsored the Menston Juniors FC Under-17s kit and supported boxer Troy Williamson when he won the British super-welterweight title last October.
