CRAVEN College is celebrating its students’ Level-3 and A-level results.

After months of hard work, students are discovering their grades and planning for their next steps, says the Skipton-based college.

More than 500 Level-3 students have successfully passed their vocational qualifications, with 28 courses achieving a 100 per cent pass rate. Students studying A-levels at the college have achieved a 91 per cent pass rate with sociology students achieving 100 per cent pass rate which is above the national UK average pass rate for the subject of 98.5 per cent.

Lindsey Johnson, the college's principal and chief executive, said: “We’re absolutely delighted for our students.

"The past couple of years have been incredibly challenging however these results are a testament to our staff and students’ resilience and commitment, and they should be proud of what they’ve achieved.

"The college has invested further in our facilities and IT infrastructure, and with the introduction of T-levels, our academic and vocational routes into employment or higher education continue to provide students in the region with a high-quality learning experience and fantastic opportunities to progress. A huge congratulations to our Level-3 and A-level students.”

Anita Lall, vice principal for curriculum and quality, said: “A huge well done to all those collecting their results today. As a great alternative to a traditional school setting, our students’ results have shown that both academic and vocational provision at Craven College prepares students with the skills and knowledge they need for employment, higher apprenticeships or studying a degree. We are very proud of all our students achieving their results today and we wish them all the best for the future.”

Students are due to collect their individual results online from the student learning portal this morning.
