A TASTE of the seaside came to Riddlesden at the weekend.
The Applegarth Club in Banks Lane staged its first-ever summer beach party.
Attractions at Saturday's event included a sand and paddling area, candy floss, an ice cream van, doughnuts, a bouncy castle and games.
There was also live entertainment, hot food, cakes, cocktails, a tombola stall and face painting.
Club fundraiser and event organiser, Emma Rigg, said: "It was a fabulous day of traditional family fun. The sun shone and the event was really well supported – we couldn’t have wished for more. It was a great success, and we also raised around £1,000 for club funds."
Next event at the Applegarth is a pandemic-delayed celebration of the club’s 75th anniversary on October 15.
