A FIREWORKS display company is on cloud nine.
Optimum Fireworks, based at Riddlesden, rocketed to success in the British Musical Firework Championships.
The company took top spot in the competition, at Southport.
It was the first time Optimum Fireworks had entered the event, in which participants are judged on a number of factors – including synchronisation to the music, product choice, site safety and artistic interpretation.
Philip and Rebecca Cooper, from Optimum Fireworks, said they were delighted.
They added: "Each entrant provides a 15-minute display choreographed to music. We started work on the design of our display in March. On the day, we had a team of 20 people onsite from 8am until 1am to produce the display – which included over 2,700 individual ignitions."
