A NEW website will support unpaid carers across the district.
The site, at carersresource.org, provides a wide range of information about the help available and carers' rights.
Charity Carers' Resource is behind the initiative.
The website is already live, but will be officially launched on Carers Rights Day on Thursday, November 24.
Drop-in events are taking place that day at the charity’s Bradford, Skipton, Harrogate and Selby offices – from 11am to 2pm – and at Bierley Community Centre in Bradford between 1pm and 2.30pm.
Chris Whiley, Carers’ Resource chief executive officer, says: "For Carers Rights Day this year, we will be officially launching the new website as a key source of help and support for carers.
"The website is a one-stop-shop for all unpaid carers – of any age – across Bradford, Harrogate, Craven and Selby districts. It means carers can find out more about their rights and the support available to them, at any time of the day or night. They can easily register with us or request support online.
"We know there are many carers out there who are looking after a friend or relative, who don’t realise they are a carer and that they have rights."
