A HOUSEBUILDER with schemes in Silsden and Cullingworth is inviting charitable groups to seek cash aid.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West is giving up to £1,500 to a different cause each month, as part of an initiative to support organisations in communities where it builds.

The latest round of applications to the Community Fund, for donations that will be awarded during the period from January to March, closes on December 16.

Barratt's developments include Saxon Dene at Silsden and the David Wilson Homes-branded Hewenden Ridge, at Cullingworth.

The fund is organised through the Barratt Foundation, which aims to promote social inclusion.

Ian Ruthven, managing director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, said: "We are delighted to once again be opening nominations for our Community Fund.

"The initiative is dedicated to supporting as many registered charities across the region as possible and we're delighted to have already helped many deserving organisations with over £15,000 in total so far this year. We look forward to welcoming more nominations and building relationships with further incredible charities."

Previous recipients have included Keighley-based Living Lights, a Christian outreach charity that provides a range of support to the vulnerable.

Community Fund applications should be emailed to lisa.prudhoe@barratthomes.co.uk.
