TWO sisters have staged their fourth annual ball in aid of Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
The latest event, organised by Sophie and Emily Baker, raised over £4,000.
And over the years, the ball has now coined-in more than £13,000.
The fundraiser was originally intended to be a one-off when first held by the siblings as part of an events management degree.
But it proved so successful, the ball – at the Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold – has been repeated annually.
Sophie, 28, and Emily, 25, thanked everyone for their support. "We feel truly grateful to have been able to hold the ball for a fourth year," they said. "The support from businesses and the community has been incredible."
Adam Brunskill, community fundraiser at Manorlands, pays tribute to the sisters. He said: "Sophie and Emily have always done a fantastic job organising the event and this year was no exception."
