KEIGHLEY Playhouse members have begun rehearsals for their next production – nearly three years after it was originally due to be performed!
Witness for the Prosecution, by Agatha Christie, was scheduled for March 2020 but the opening night coincided with the start of the first lockdown.
Now the production is taking place from March 13 to 18.
Playhouse chair, Mike Boothroyd, says: "We've managed to assemble the vast majority of the original cast and production team.
"Despite being forced to close our doors for a season and a half during the pandemic we were able to keep our heads above water thanks to Government grant support and the generosity of our landlord, Keighley Liberal Club. Also, we are grateful to the theatre-going public of Keighley for its ever-increasing support, as audience levels slowly increase to pre-Covid levels."
