A KEIGHLEY landmark has received a makeover.
Maurice the dinosaur, which stands outside the Pickard Hardware premises, has been given a lick of paint.
And the choice of colour was ruby red, as a salute to the company's 40 years in business and the legacy of founder John Pickard, who died last year.
"Maurice is familiar to many folk who drive along the Aire Valley road into Keighley past our premises and we thought we should brighten him up!" says managing director, Dale Spencer.
"Following the loss of John our team has done a number of things to ensure his memory is kept alive and that we celebrate four decades of trading.
"One idea was to give triceratops Maurice a makeover. Public opinion about a suitable colour was sought via social media and thanks to that input and staff ideas, we decided on ruby red to celebrate our 40th anniversary."
