HAWORTH Riding for the Disabled has received a £10,000 donation.

The money has been presented to the group following the winding up of Scope in Bradford.

A cheque was handed over to Haworth Riding for the Disabled at its Vale Mill Lane stables.

Scope in Bradford was originally founded as Bradford and District Spastics Society in the 1950s.

The name Scope was adopted in the 1990s.

Due to a number of factors, including the impact of the pandemic and difficulty recruiting new trustees, Scope in Bradford has decided to cease operating and its remaining funds have been distributed to several charities across the district.

Jane Lawrence, for Haworth Riding for the Disabled, says: "Clearly the circumstances surrounding the donation are sad, but we are extremely grateful to Scope in Bradford for choosing to support us."
