VOLUNTEERS have been making a clean sweep in the Bingley Rural ward.
Residents have targeted areas which were left strewn with litter in the wake of Storm Otto, the first named storm of the season.
The team cleaned up spots including the war memorial, park, Main Street, Dell and Manywells Brow at Cullingworth, and areas of Denholme and Wilsden.
Amongst those taking part was community campaigner Cath Bacon, who praised all the volunteers.
She said: "Residents have been amazing in coming out to help clean up the local area.
"We have had people of all ages taking part.
"It is amazing what can be achieved when we all work together.
"I am so proud to be part of this wonderful community, with its many volunteers."
A further clean up is planned in Denholme on Sunday.
