ACTIVIST Jo Cheetham will be in Haworth this month to launch her first book.
She is at Cobbles & Clay, in Main Street, on Wednesday, March 22, to read from and sign copies of Killjoy-Taking on a Macho Media Empire and Winning.
The book focuses on how a group of determined women can change the world, spotlighting the author's role in a campaign to end the appearance of 'Page 3 girls' in tabloids.
Tickets for the 7pm launch are available, priced £5, from independent bookshop Wave of Nostalgia, which is next door to Cobbles & Clay.
They can also be obtained at waveofnostalgia.co.uk/event-tickets.
Wave of Nostalgia owner Diane Park said: "Jo is a real inspiration. The book is brilliantly warm, funny and moving and encourages us all to be rebellious and inquisitive. It made me laugh and made me shout! I can’t wait to hear what she has to say."
