A GARDEN centre which came under new ownership last year and is receiving a revamp is staging a 'launch' weekend.
Visitors to the former Stephen H Smith site at Harden, now known as Bingley Garden Centre, next Saturday and Sunday (April 1-2) will be able to view plans for the outlet and see improvements already carried out.
The Wilsden Road premises are now owned by the YGC Group, parent company of Tong and Tingley garden centres, which also bought Stephen H Smith's at Otley last year.
Work already done at the four-acre Harden site includes the introduction of a new food area and plant benches.
The refurbishment programme also features new roofing and a revamp of the giftware area.
Trading is continuing as normal during the work.
Centre manager, Marc Salama, says: "We're excited about the work already done and are looking forward to celebrating our spring launch with customers."
