AN area of parkland is to be transformed.
A garden, known as The Poet's Pasture, is being created in Silsden Park.
The project is the inspiration of Silsden writer, poet and broadcaster, David Driver, who says it will be "a quiet place to imagine, create and inspire".
The garden will include a bench, log seats, rose bushes, wildflowers and trees.
"A grand opening will hopefully take place at the end of June when people will be encouraged to bring a picnic, listen to live performances from poets, musicians and storytellers, and just relax," says Mr Driver.
He pays tribute to Silsden town mayor Councillor Mags Croft, the Friends of Silsden Park, Silsden Town Council and Woodbank Garden Centre and Nurseries at Harden for their support.
