POPULAR poetry evenings have resumed at Haworth.
Alison Binney performed work from her prize-winning collection, Other Women’s Kitchens.
The event was held in the Book Cellar event space at Wave of Nostalgia, in Main Street.
On Thursday, April 20, the Hebden Bridge-based writer Ian Humphreys will introduce two poets, Carola Luther and Martin Kratz, both of whom contributed to a new anthology he edited. After Sylvia is a collection of writings celebrating the work of Sylvia Plath.
The event, which will feature readings from the anthology, takes place at Wave of Nostalgia from 7pm.
Tickets are available, priced £5 including a drink, from waveofnostalgia.co.uk/event-tickets or the bookshop.
Wave of Nostalgia owner, Diane Park, says: "Thanks go to Alison for kicking off our new season in such great style, with her tender but fierce poems about being true to yourself. The next session focuses on one of my heroes, Sylvia Plath."
