THERE'S nothing half baked about lessons at a Keighley-district school.
Year 3 pupils at Oxenhope CE Primary School have been learning about bread as part of design and technology work.
And they've received tuition from an expert.
Mike Armstrong, known as Baker Mike, visited the pupils.
"The children really enjoyed their afternoon with Mike," says class teacher Caroline Auty.
"He is so passionate and skilled, which was inspiring for the pupils.
"They are so excited to be able to make their own bread now.
"Mike made lots of different bread shapes, as well as a delicious lemon and herb focaccia.
"He also shared the history of bread with the children, which was really interesting.
"And of course there was lots of tasting!"
Mike is well known across the area, giving talks and demonstrations to groups and schools.
And he writes a weekly column in the Keighley News.
